Microsoft
Word has a lot of in-built shortcuts that you can evoke without clicking your mouse
buttons several times. If you keep your eyes open, you'll see a lot of them listed right
next to the menu commands you click on several times a day ! (e.g. Instead of clicking on
"File" and then clicking on "Open", all you need to do is press the
keys "Ctrl" and "N" to open a New file.)
Here are some of the important keyboard
shortcuts you can use to get things done in Microsoft Word. It may look like a lot to
remember, but try your hand at one group at a time. As you start using them, you will find
that you save a considerable amount of time as you no longer need to take your hands off
the keyboard and reach for the mouse every few seconds. Go ahead and try it ...
Note : "+" sign denotes that
the keys on either side need to be pressed simultaneously, and F1, F2, etc. denote the
function keys on the top line of your keyboard.
