How confident are you about your idea?
Unless you are convinced about your idea,
you will not be able to sell it to anyone
else.
- How will you sell your product?
Have a detailed market analysis readywho are your customers, what is the market size
(both backed quantitatively and by research), and what is your competition?
- Is the Business model believable?
After the test of conviction, is time for brass tacks: the model should have achievable
targets-whether it is market penetration, revenues, or strategies.
- Are all the aspects of the business plan complete?
All the points should be covered in a crisp, concise and compelling summary and ensure
that you have a milestone chart.
- Who is on the team?
Make sure you have the credentials of the management team ready.
- What is the extent of financing required?
How much of the capital are you bringing in and what is the extent of financial exposure?
- What is the current/projected financial picture?
Detailed financial statements need to be submitted
- Does the Management have stock options
VCs prefer management to earn its income through both monthly salaries and equity
appreciation. So management stockholding is a must.
