Objectives
1. To provide employment opportunities, particularly to those belonging to weaker section.
2. To enable an individual to start village industries like manufacturing of gold and
silver Jewellery, food processing, fruit and vegetable preservation, making of handmade
paper goods, leather products, soap and candles, to start iron smithy and carpentry works,
village handicrafts, set up service industry .like diesel engine, pump and cycle repair
shops, plumbing and many more
1. To empower poor urban women who decide to set up employment ventures in groups and not
individually.
2. To enable them to be self-reliant through income-generating activities and experience
of working in a group.
3. To provide loans/subsidies to set up tiny enterprises like business, manufacturing
unit, service center or any other income generating activities suited to women's skill/
training, aptitude and local demand.
4. To upgrade the skill of women
5. To give incentives to start thrift and credit societies (T& CSs).

Eligibility |
1. Individual in the age group of 18 to 55 years.
2. Industrial Co-operative Societies and institutions registered under Societies
Registration Act ,1860 and having provision for taking up Khadi and Village Industries
(KVI) Schemes
3. Applicant should be a resident of Delhi.
4. Industrial units to be setup only in rural and urbanised villages of Delhi.
5. Marketing units located in urban and rural areas.
6. The applicant should have own land or a rented accommodation with 8 years of lease.
7. Applicant having the required skill will get preference.
8. The Unit should have a maximum electricity load of 1 kilo watt, total working area
should be atleast 30 sq.ft, located on ground floor with maximum 5 workers and should be
non polluting.

| Funding |
1. The funds up to Rs.10.00 lakhs based on the Project Report. No Project Report is
required for loans up to Rs. 1.00 lakh to an individual.
2. Up to Rs.25 lakhs to an Institution and Industrial Cooperatives Society.
3. Financial assistance available through Delhi State Cooperative Bank and Nationalised
Banks.
The interest rate is fixed by State Bank of India. The Board will provide the margin money

Pattern
of Assistance
Financial assistance comprises 3 components
* Contribution of the applicant.
* Margin money and
* Term loan.
Applicants belonging to weaker section Scheduled Caste (SC) / Scheduled Tribe (ST) / women
/ Other Backward Classes (OBC's) / ex-servicemen / minority community / physically
handicapped will have to make 5% contribution, 30% margin money and get a 65% loan.
The applicant of general category and Institutional cases will have own 10% contribution,
25% margin money and 65% loan.
The margin money is interest free loan, to be converted into non-refundable grant, if it
is properly utilized for the purpose it was given. Otherwise it is to be treated as loan
for recovery purposes
