Complexion Changes
What is happening to my complexion
Is it a breakout or a glow? Either ways, an
increased secretion of oils brought about by hormonal changes is responsible for causing
changes in your skin.
Dark spots have appeared on my face
You could suffer from many strange skin
symptoms due to pregnancy. Some women are known to develop a dark line down the centre of
the abdomen and the skin of a dark woman sometimes get discolored in the course of these
nine months. Fortunately, most of these complexion changes return to normal after
pregnancy.
How do I take care of my skin
Remember that a good diet not only provides
nutrition for your baby, but will also help your skin. Drink the most efficient pore
purifier: water. Avoid make-up and creams and wash your face 2 or 3 times a day with water
and a gentle cleanser. If your skin feels dry and itchy, use a moisturizer. Ask your
doctor to prescribe a vitamin B supplement.
Folic acid deficiency is one of the main
causes of excessive pigmentation. So make sure you are having your vitamin supplements
regularly and eating greens, fruits and vegetables. Keep out of the sun, or apply a sun
screen.
