Software Services export: AP Share is 14 per cent

Andhra Pradesh has exported more than Rs 18,500 crore worth software services in the last three years which is about 14 percent of the total exports from the country in that period. The scientific and engineering talent pool available in the State was the best in the world said Information Technology and Communications Minister, R Damodar Reddy.

The Information Technology industry in the State has been on a positive growth pattern. In order to promote small and medium enterprises (EMEs), the State Government has been contemplating to grant Special Economic Zones (SEZs) to the EMEs, he said. At a programme here on Sunday, the minister formally launched websites of the US based Finder Group for the use of the job seekers and employers in the IT consulting field in the US.

The Finder Group CEO, Mahesh Bigala informed that besides providing information on the jobs available, the websites also render information on H1B visa sponsoring in the US and vice versa. "The availability of IT jobs in the US is at historical heights". Hyderabad has the highest number of recruiters working for the US companies.
