CM assures all help to company - MEGA GLASS COMPLEX AT NAIDUPET SOON

Yet another mega project, Messrs Hindustan National Glass & Industries Ltd., is seriously mulling to set up its state-of-the-art glass manufacturing complex in the state, at Naidupet in Nellore district.

Mr Mukul Somany, Joint Managing Director of Hindustan National Glass & Industries Ltd., today called on the Chief Minister, Mr K. Rosaiah, and expressed his desire to make Andhra Pradesh as their next destination and sought cooperation of the state government in this regard.

Welcoming the industry to the state, the Chief Minister assured all support and cooperation from the government side.

Mr Somany, in his representation to the Chief Minister, said that they want to set up a mega manufacturing complex to produce container glass and float glass at an estimated investment of Rs 1,000 crores in the state. He said that their revenue has grown with a CAGR of 28% amongst the best in this business sector in the world and to sustain this growth, and in conjunction with expanding market demand of their products, they propose to create a "Glass Complex" as a mega project of first container glass plant with an investment of Rs 480 crores where construction will commence by April this year and get completed by mid-2012.

The construction of Float Glass plant having production capacity of 600 tons per day will commence by early 2012 and will be completed by 2014. The construction of Second Container Glass Plant will start by 2014 and production will commence from mid-2016. In the first phase, Container Glass Plant will produce 450 tons per day of container glass providing employment to 1,500 people. He sought the support and cooperation of the state government for setting up of the Mega Project.
