Yerukala Hakkula Porata Samithi (YHPS) has demanded the state government to revise the G. O. Ms. No. 76 which failed to provide subsidies and margin money for Yerukala women in various schemes.

Mr. Valigi Prabhakar Yerukala, President YHPS said at a press meet that the state government merged the various TRICOR schemes in Indiramma scheme in November 2005, and issued the G. O. Ms. No. 76, according to which tribal women would also get the loans from Indiramma scheme. He said the G.O. was indicating the state government’s plans to close down the TRICOR. He demanded the resignation of the corporation chairman Mr. Devara Subba Rao and members who gave their acceptance for the implementation of G.O.

Mr. N. M. Darma Yerukala, Vice-President, said they have conducted a huge rally and meeting with 2000 Yerukala women on April, 30 and presented a memorandum to the government, but the latter has not taken any decision in the matter. He threatened that if the situation continued in this way, they would organise a demonstration at the tribal welfare department office on August 3, with thousands of yerukula women. He requested the government to take necessary action on the G.O and do justice to Yerukula women.

Mr. Peram Satyam Yerukala, Mr. D. Sailoo Yerukala, Mr. Kandela Venkateshwarlu Yerukala, Presidents of Prakasam, Warangal and Nalgonda districts, respectively, participated in the media meet.
