HPS parents meet today

17 Hyderabad Public School SC/ST Parents Committee is organising a meeting on January 17 at 5 pm at old Press Club, Basheerbagh to discuss the problems related to their children.

Mr. M. Samuel, President of the Committee alleged that Hyderabad Public School of Ramanthapur authorities were showing discrimination against its SC/ST Students. Showing ‘caste discrimination’, it is running a separate hostel out side the campus to provide accommodation to them though hostel accommodation is available inside the campus, he charged.

He demanded the government to appoint a parent of SC/ST student to the Governing body of the schools to avoid such discrimination. Mr. Vijay Kumar, General Secretary of the Committee threatened to launch an agitation if the government failed to respond to their demand.

He informed that Ministers Dr. A. Chandrasekhar, Mr. B. Vinod and Dr. G. Vijaya Rama Rao would attend the January 17 meeting.
