Since the past two years this young designer has been creating quite a few ripples with her innovative creations on the Hyderabad fashion scene. All this, without any formal training in fashion designing.

Rama Turla is famous for her designs which can be described as 'natural'. As she usually works with natural and comfortable fabrics such as cotton, crepes and georgettes. Except when she is designing Western clothes. Usually for the partying crowd, these designs are made in synthetic blends. Some of her clients trust her with the designing their entire wardrobe.

Her clothes are simple and their style reflect her "sober down to earth" attitude. She draws her inspiration from the changing seasons and her own changing moods. Earthen and pastel colours for Indian wear and black for Western are her all time favourite choices.

You can watch her creation glide down a ramp at her annual fashion show at the Grand Kakatiya. Her collection is also displayed at the Obsession boutique in Banjara Hills, of which she is also a partner along with fashion photographer Satish.
