Designing was just a part of her hobby, but now its her life. Mahanoor Khan designs clothes for fashion contestants all over India and abroad. Soft spoken, amiable and warm natured, while designing for a client Mahanoor bears in mind the person’s lifestyle, physiology and attitude.

Western wear and Mughal wear are her areas of forte. Yes it surely is a striking contrast, the fact is that she can be bold and prude at the same time. But one of the reasons for this could be because of her diverse clientele. For Feona, Ms Andhra, she had designed a smart, sexy, full-length gown that displayed the silhouettes of the beautiful model. Feona sparkled in designer cuts and also walked away with the crown, and the fashion designer crown went to Mahanoor khan.

Black should be her favourite, as it permeates all the clients’ wardrobes. She has a ‘rangeela dress’; a long slit evening gown, a ghagra choli and a Pakistani Pathan suit — all black, sexy and hep. She says "black brings out the mystery in a woman.

Mahanoor is the wife of none other than our famous choreographer Imran Khan, who has gained immense popularity courtesy his mega shows like the recent Fair and Lovely Ms Andhra and Ms Country Club.
