| Profile of Jackie Shroff For Jackie Shroff, the road to success and fame has
been a long and winding one. This model-turned-actor made his debut with a major launch Hero
co-starring Meenakshi Sheshadri and Shammi Kapoor. He tried to don the mantle of the
"angry young man" with movies such as Andar Baahar, Wardi, Parinda,
Ram Lakhan and Uttar Dakshin.
Unfortunately, Jackie has very few solo films to his credit. He has been pitted against
the likes of Anil Kapoor, Shahrukh Khan, Mithun Chakraborty and Aamir Khan. He won
accolades for his performances in Gardish, and Rangeela.
Jackie's home banner Jackie Shroff Entertainment Ltd (JSEL) has recently released his
second film Jis Desh Mein Ganga Rehta Hai directed by the much acclaimed director
Mahesh Manjrekar. |
