Dutt Sanjay Dutt, son of Sunil and Nargis Dutt, had
everything rooting for him. With dreams in his eyes and a solid family backing, the young
actor set out to storm tinsel town with his first film Rocky. But strange are the
ways of luck - Sanjay's tryst with drugs and alcohol sent him back by years. After trips
to the USA for rehabilitation, Sanjay emerged once again to do Mahesh Bhatt's Naam.
This was followed by Saajan, Sadak and Khalnayak. Sanjay gave
sensitive performances once again and received a lot of acclaim. But misfortune struck yet
again with the TADA episode.
In his second coming, Sanjay Dutt acted in Daag-The Fire, Chota Chetan and Daud.
He gave a searing performance an the deadly underworld don Raghu Bhai in Vaastav.His
stint with comedy in David Dhavan's Haseena Maan Jayegi showed his versatility as
an actor. It has taken him two decades to prove himself but Sanjay Dutt has hung in there
despite all his trials and tribulations and proved himself a winner. He bagged the Best
Actor Award for Vaastav. The day definitely belongs to this talented actor who has
finally come of age. Kurukshetra is his latest release. |
