NOTIFICATION
TECHNICAL EXAMINATION - AUGUST, 2004
Applications in the prescribed forms are invited from the
eligible candidates for Typewriting and Shorthand examinations
to be conducted during AUGUST, 2004.
I.
EXAMINATIONS:(Revised
pattern of Typewriting Examinations):
Lower Grade (English, Telugu and Hindi) Paper-I 10 mins.
Paper-II 45 minutes
Higher Grade(English, Telugu and Hindi) Paper-I 10 mins.
Paper-II 1 hour
(Balance Sheet, etc., to be typed on one sheet only instead of
two sheets)
There is no mechanism (objective) paper.
There is no SECOND PAPER for High Speed Typewriting.
The number of
questions in Paper II of Typewriting (Lower/Higher) Examinations
remains the same. Only the number of words and strokes have
been reduced corresponding to the time in BOTH PAPER I AND
PAPER II.
No change in
English Shorthand of all grades and Telugu Shorthand of Lower
and Higher Grades. Only in respect of Telugu Shorthand High
Speed (80 wpm) the duration of dictation time for Paper I and
Paper II is 7 minutes each instead of 10 minutes each.
TYPEWRITING:
LOWER GRADE IN ENGLISH, TELUGU AND HINDI WILL BE CONDUCTED AT
THE SAME CENTRES AND IN THE SAME NUMBER OF BATCHES AS WAS
CONDUCTED FOR JANUARY, 2004 EXAMINATIONS.
The following are the centres which will have to be shifted to
nearby centres because of less number of candidates in January,
2004 examinations:
Gajuwaka, Pithapuram, Narsapur, Nidadavole, Gannavaram,
Mylavaram, Nuzvid, Mangalagiri, Dhone, Yemmiganur, Dharmavaram,
Rajampeta, Srikalahasti, Jagitiyal, Bhongir, Tandur
Urdu Lower and Higher 1 batch each, High Speed in
Telugu and English 1 batch each. URDU Typewriting examinations
will be conducted at HYDERABAD only.
Special Examination for Child Prodigies will be conducted
separately in one batch at all the centres of the State.
ENGLISH
SHORTHAND Lower, Intermediate, Higher and Telugu Lower and
Higher WILL BE CONDUCTED AT THE CENTRES WHERE January, 2004
EXAMS WERE CONDUCTED, except Hyderabad Centre.
At Hyderabad Centre, Shorthand English Lower, Intermediate and
all Telugu Shorthand Exams will be conducted at Kamala Nehru
Polytechnic for Women, Exhibition Grounds and English Shorthand
Higher and all English Shorthand High Speeds will be conducted
at Government Polytechnic, Masab Tank, Hyderabad. Urdu
Shorthand Examinations Lower and Higher will be conducted at
Hyderabad only. Shorthand High Speed Exams will be conducted at
the following centres only.
English
150wpm Govt. Polytechnic, Vijayawada & GPT Hyderabad
English 180 wpm & 200 wpm Govt. Polytechnic, Hyderabad only
Telugu 80 and 100 wpm K.N. Polytechnic for Women, Hyderabad
only.
II.
ELIGIBILITY:
Totally blind candidates are not permitted for these
examinations.
FOR LOWER
GRADE TYPEWRITING EXAMINATIONS:
An appearance at SSC Examination or equivalent. Candidates
should enclose xerox copy of hall ticket if marks statement is
not yet issued. Where the marks statements are issued, a xerox
copy of marks statement should invariably be enclosed to the
application.
FOR
SPL.TYPEWRITING EXAM.FOR CHILD PRODIGIES: (i) A Candidate
should not have completed 14 years of age as on the date of
issue of notification. A Date of Birth Certificate issued by
the authorities concerned or by a Gazetted Officer certifying
the age should be enclosed to the examination application form.
No qualification is prescribed for this examination.
(ii) The Special Typewriting Examination consist of only Speed
Paper of (10) minutes duration @ 30 w.p.m and is not treated as
equivalent to any grade of examination being conducted by the
Board.
FOR HIGHER GRADE TYPEWRITING: A pass
in Lower Grade exam., of the subject and language along with a
pass in SSC or equivalent examination or graduation from any
recognized University. Candidates qualified in Lower exam., of
Maharashtra Govt. will not be admitted except those who qualify
as per G.O.Ms.No.921, G.A.(Ser.B)Dept., dt.19-06-62
For High Speed (Typewriting) : A pass in
Higher Grade Exam.of the subject and language
For Shorthand Lower
(English/Telugu) : A pass in SSC or Equivalent Exam.
For Shorthand Inter./Higher Exam : A pass in Shorthand
Lower Grade Exam./
(English/Telugu) Graduation from
any recognised University.
For Shorthand English High Speed : A pass in English
Shorthand Higher Grade (all grades)
For Shorthand Telugu High Speed : A pass in Telugu
Shorthand Higher Grade (all grades)
III. EXAMINATION FEE AND
PAYMENT:
Lower
Grade Rs.70/- per subject
Higher Grade
and Shorthand Intermediate Rs.90/- per subject
High Speed
Rs.120/- per subject.
Special Exam.
For Child Prodigies Rs.100/-.
Fee should be paid ONLY by way of CROSSED DEMAND DRAFT obtained
from State Bank of India or Andhra Bank and drawn in favour of
SECRETARY, State Board of Technical Education and Training, A.P.,
Hyderabad payable at HYDERABAD. FEE ONCE PAID WILL NEITHER BE
REFUNDED NOR ADJUSTED FOR A FUTURE EXAMINATION.
IV. APPLICATION FORMS AND DATES
Blank
application forms at a cost of Rs.5/- each can be had from the
Principals of Govt./Private Polytechnics where they were sold
for the last examination from 17-05-2004. White colour
applications for English Typewriting including Special
Typewriting Examination for Child Prodigies, Yellow colour
applications for Telugu Typewriting and Blue colour applications
for Hindi Typewriting are to be used. For Shorthand, Pink
colour applications are to be used for all grades and all
languages.
a) Last date to pay the fee and receive applications without
fine .. 09-06-2004.
b) Last date to receive applications with a fine of Rs.100/-
per application .. 12-06-2004.
Applications
should be submitted either in person or by Regd.Post addressed
to the Secretary, State Board of Technical Education and
Training, S.V.Bhavan, Masab Tank, Hyderabad-500 028.
NOTE:
Recognised
Typewriting Institutes are permitted to submit their Institute
applications on or before 15-06-04 However, the demand
draft should have been obtained by them between 17-05-04
and 09-06-04 If the draft is obtained after 09-06-04
and before 12-06-04 late fee should be paid at the rate
of Rs.100/- per application.
V. GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS
Candidates
appearing for the first time in Typewriting in any grade should
get his/her applications sponsored by a Recognised Institute.
Govt. employees appearing for the exam. Should seek permission
from their employers for appearing the examination.
Instructions
supplied along with the application should be strictly adhered
to. Entries in the schedules shall be
filled as per SSC Marks List/SSC Hall Ticket. Application forms
should be filled by the applicant in his/her own handwriting as
per SSC Certificate.
The Secretary, State Board of
Technical Education and Training, A.P., reserves the right to
cancel the result of any ineligible candidate who has been
permitted to appear for the examination by oversight. The
Secretary, reserves the right to cancel the performance of any
candidate(s) if it is found that any unfair means are adopted in
the examination.
Applications sponsored by unrecognised Institutes will be
rejected without any intimation and fee paid will not be
refunded under any circumstances.
If it is found that a Principal certified the candidature of an
imposter, action will be initiated against the Principal.
No candidate can appear for the same examination in different
batches or for more than one grade of examination in the
subject/language at the same time. Such application will be
rejected and the candidates forfeit the fee paid and their
performance will be cancelled. Candidates once qualified are
not permitted to appear for the same examination.
The undersigned reserves the right to cancel any centre notified
due to administrative reasons and reallot the candidates to a
nearby centre of examination. The Principals of Type Institutes
have to submit a prescribed covering letter in duplicate along
with a Demand Draft separately while submitting the application
forms.
Applications received after due date due to postal delay or any
other reason will be rejected though the fee is paid in time.
The Board is not responsible for any loss of applications during
transit.
The Institute Principals are advised that they should submit the
consolidated demand draft along with the prescribed covering
letter separately for Typewriting and Shorthand at the time of
submitting the applications.
Time-table will be published in the newspapers in the month of
July, 2004.
