Common details:
Admission to MBBS /BDS/B.Pharma/BAMS /BUMS / BHMS in Medical and Dental colleges
affiliated to AP University of Health Sciences, Vijayawada, is made through State Level
Engineering, Agricultural & Medical Common Entrance Test (EAMCET) .Duration of MBBS is
5 ½ years (including internship) and BDS is 4 years. For MBBS there are 1280 seats and 40
seats for BDS.
The following details are common for MBBS and BDS courses:
Domicile:
(1) Those who have resided in AP for 10 years excluding period of study outside AP, if
any.
(2) either of whose parents have resided in AP for 10 years (3) either of
whose parents/ spouses of those in the Central / State, Public Sector, Local Bodies,
Universities, employment in AP at the time of admission. All these candidates are
considered as belonging to the State, provided they are Indian nationals also.
Eligibility :
Age: between 17 to 22 yr. as on Dec. 31 (For those holding B.Sc./ MSc degrees and SC/
ST candidates –below 25 years are eligible ). 16 years for BPharma. Inter (10+2) with
phys, Chem, Biology (including practicals). Medical fitness is also required.
Reservation: 15% for SC , 6% for ST, 25% for BC, 1% for children of service /
Ex-servicemen , 3% for Women candidates.
Entrance Test is in English and Telugu and of objective type multiple choice
including Physics , Chem and Biology. Merit list is prepared on the basis of marks
obtained in EAMCET.
Test Centres: Ananthpur , Guntur, Hyderabad, Kakinada, Kurnool, Nellore, Tirupathi,
Vijayawada, Vishakhapatnam , and Warnagal.
Notification: March . Last Date: April. Test: May.
Result: June.
