The Tarot Speaks

How is it that the Tarot can tell you about yourself, your past and future? Does it depend on the intuition of the person doing the reading, or does it occur though a communication by your sub-conscious relating to your question?
Or maybe it is through an activation of certain natural forces in nature? Or perhaps it is a symbolic story narrated by the cards? Read on.
The possibilities are endless! Despite myth, lore and fabulous exotic claims, the absolute origin of Tarot continues to be a wonderful and intriguing mystery. What we do know though is that the cards of the Tarot represent an allegorical journey, and as such tell us a story through symbol and imagery. 

The earliest versions of the cards that we use today most likely first appeared as a simple deck of playing cards. But even though playing cards originated in Central Asia more than a thousand years ago it wasn't until the late 1400's that a true, 78 card, Tarot as we know it, was created. Tarot was being used for story telling and as the inspiration for creating poetic verse and song.
