Trees :
The following trees are good or bad in the directions mentioned below :

Peepal (Asvattha - Vriksha)
Good in West side of the house.
Bad in East side of the house.

Bargad (Vata - Vriksha)
Good in East side of the house.
Bad in West side of the house.

Goolar
Good in south side of the house.
Bad in south side of the house.

The shadow of any tree should not fall upon the house from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. i.e. trees should be situated at a distance from the house.

Well near the site :
There should not be any well or public tank near the site in :
South, South-West, North-West, South-East,West and East directions.
The shadow of the house should not fall upon the well between    9 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

River or wide canal :
There should not be any River or wide Canal on the South and West sides of the site.
If River or Canal is on East side of the site and flow of water is from South to North, it is good.
Similarly, if the River or Canal is on North side of the site and water flows from West to East, it is also good.

Hills / Hillocks :
If there are Hills or Hillocks on South, South-West and West sides of the site, it is Good otherwise, it is Weak for growth.

Temples or places of worship :
The shadow of any Temple or other Place of Worship should not fall upon the site from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
Further, the Temples of Sun, Brahma, Vishnu and Shiv should not be in front of the site. Durga Temple should not be on the left or right sides of the site. Jain Temple should not be at the back of the site.

Graveyard / burial ground / tomb :
There should not be any Graveyard, Burial  ground or Tomb, adjacent to or at the back or in front of the site.

As far as possible all the four corners of the plot i.e. South-West, North-West, South-East & North-East, should be kept open to sky. However, if neccessary, SW corner can be covered by an auxillary structure blocking the extreme NE, SE & NW corners of the plot
