FLUTE

Flute is an age-old wind instrument used both for playing classical and light music notes. The instrument is remembered associated with Lord Krishna.

Flute is simple cylindrical tube of uniform girth. It is closed at one end and has a mouth hole and 7-9 finger holes placed in a straight line. The mouth hole is slightly bigger than the finger holes and is used for blowing, while the finger holes of uniform size are tapped with the fingers to                produce the musical notes.

Flutes can be made of Ivory, Bamboo, Sandalwood, Ebony, Iron, Silver or Gold. But, of all the materials, Bamboo is preferred the most for its excellent tonal quality and resonating properties.
