The Schedule :

Bonalu celebrations are spread over three Sundays and over multiple venues. The main celebrations being that of –

    • First Sunday at – Sri Jagadambika temple of Golconda Fort.
    • Second Sunday at - Ujjain Mahankali in Secunderabad.
    • Third Sunday at - the Matheswari temple of Laldarwaja in old city

Apart from this there are around forty plus Matheswari temples all over the twin Cities – big and small, where Bonalu celebrations are performed with much piety. Other popular temples include –

    • Darbar Maisamma Temple
    • Akkanna, Madanna Mahankali temple
    • Nimboli Adda Mahankali temple
    • Lal Bazar Mahakali temple

People believe that the annual worship is equivalent to a daily worship for the Goddess since an entire year of 365 days is believed to be one day for her.
