BIRLAMANIDIR

Birla Mandir is the modern temple built by Birlas, the famous industrialists, in the year of 1976. Birla Mandir situated at Hyderabad is one of prominence among the various temples built by them. The temple is built of white marble from Rajasthan on the top of Kalapahad, the hillock of Naubatpahad and has been consecrated in the year,1976. The presiding deity here is Lord Venkateshwara, an incarnation of Lord Vishnu.

The granite idol of Lord Venkateshwara is brought from the hometown of the deity, i.e., Tirupati for the purpose. The image is about 11 feet tall with a carved lotus forming the umbrella for it.
