Laser National Championship from Thursday
EME Sailing
Association the Laser Class Association of India, the Secunderabad
Sailing Club and the Sports Authority of India are jointly organising a
six-day Laser National Championships on the waters of the picturesque
Hussain Sagar Lake here from August 18.
A large number of sailors of
national and international repute are slated to participate in the
18-race event to be held over a period of six days. About 60 sailboats
will participate in the championship. The championships will be declared
open on August 18. They come to an end on August 23. The first ever
Laser National Championship was held at Husain Sagar in July 1986.
