Pyaar Ishq Aur
Mohabbat
 You are sure to enjoy Pyar Ishq aur Mohabbat in one way or the other
and how, you will get to know towards the end of this review. PIAM is all about making and
breaking love. Apparently more of a blend of the then Sapney and recent Badri, and a
virtual remake of the Hollywood “There’s something about Mary”, the story
is all about Isha Nayar (Kirthi Reddy) caught in a whirlpool of love from three men.
Yash Sabarwal (Sunil Shetty) is a multi-millionaire, who believes that life is a business
and money can buy anything! As any year, he sponsors an outstanding student for higher
studies and it happens to be Isha that year. And then it is love at first sight for Yash!
He intends to marry Isha, but Isha turns down the proposal, for no reason and leaves for
Scotland for higher studies. Very conveniently, a friend of Isha's father, Lord
Bharadwaj(Dalip Tahil) lives in Scotland, for Isha to board there!
Yash, the man who never gives up, hires a 'romance-fixer' Gaurav (Arjun Rampal), an
upcoming model who 'fixes broken loves' as a part time job. A deal is struck at a price of
Rs.10 crores. Gaurav takes up the job and flies to Scotland, leaving behind his girl
friend Maya (Monica Bedi) who runs an ad agency.
From here, the story moves to Scotland where Gaurav tries to woo Isha in different ways -
as a carpenter, florist etc. Wondering what on earth Gaurav is doing - making Isha fall
for Yash or falling himself for her? This is all in the game, as reiterated by Gaurav to
Yash, when the latter rushes to Scotland with the photographs in which Gaurav and Isha are
singing around Switzerland locales. He even assures Yash that one day, Isha would
definitely come to Yash. Funny, isn't it? To make things more complicated, we have got one
more aashiq for Isha in the form of a Taj, the son of Lord Baradwaj in whose house Isha is
staying.
Isha falls for Gaurav, not knowing that it's a game. Now is the time for Gaurav to show up
the cards. For this, he uses Maya, who comes to Scotland for some ad shooting! Meanwhile,
Taj who discovers that Maya is Gaurav's girl friend, cautions Isha about him. Isha ignores
Taj but one day she sees Gaurav and Maya sharing the same bed! Well, that was according to
Gaurav's last move and as expected Isha, breaks her relation with Gaurav. We are told in
PIAM that when a girl breaks up with her lover, chances are 100% that she again falls in
love!
Accordingly, Isha comes closer to Yash. Even this doesn't stand longer as Taj again
discovers that Gaurav has been paid for breaking-up with Isha and he enlightens Isha about
the deal. One more break-up! No problem, we have got another last spare! Well, Isha's
marriage is fixed with Taj. But wait! Gaurav is coming back as he had realised that he is
really in love with Isha!
Well, that is the tale of Pyar, Ishq aur Mohabbat! Rajiv Rai who gave us such a thriller
like Gupt, turned to a love story, which doesn't look like a love story at all! But you
can still enjoy PIAM because it is very funny! Coming to performances, Arjun Rampal steals
the show with his macho looks and acting. He is very promising. Kirthi Reddy looks good
except for some scenes in which she put on heavy make-up. The dubbing for Kirthi is very
bad. Sunil, as a multi-millionaire is elegant. Aftab needs some serious workouts to reduce
weight. Music is the saving grace of the film. Going by an old saying, if PIAM is
inevitable, you better enjoy it and you really will!
