Cartoon of the Day

Narasimhanaidu

B.Gopal and Balakrishna team up again and come with the same magic as they did it in Samarasimha Reddy. Narasimhanaidu  is a saga of Rayalaseema factionism. The movie's strength is it's story, which is different and which holds the movie.

Raghupati Naidu and Appala Naidu are two rivals in a village in Rayalaseema. The former is known for his virtues and the latter is known for his inhumane attitude and brutal deeds. Appalanaidu gets Raghupati Naidu's people killed. And the latter gets disturbed and comes out with a plan to save the innocent from the clutches of Appala Naidu.

He asks the villagers to give away one male child from every family to form an army that would protect the village folk and their interests. And as the charity begins at home, Raghupati Naidu hands over his third son Narasimha Naidu (Bala Krishna) to the village army, who becomes the head of the army. And this army lead by Narasimha Naidu is successful in putting Appala Naidu to an end.

Now Appala Naidu's brother-in-law, Kuppu Swamy wants to take revenge and he kills Simran (Narasimhanaidu's wife), who is pregnant and who while dying takes a promise from her husband to leave this life of bloodshed. And Narasimha Naidu leaves to the city and leads a life of a dance teacher there.

And then... Narasimha Naidu meets Preeti Jhingania, who is incidentally Kuppuswamy Naidu's daughter. He falls in love with her and sings duets with her. The rest of the story we can imagine. Kuppuswamy would resist his daughter's love affair with Narsimha Naidu and ultimately he would come on the right path and marry off his daughter to the hero and so on and so forth...

The movie is a treat to those who love masala. It's typical masala magic with lots of fights, duets and fast songs like Lux Papa, Lux Papa...  And Bala Krishna has given a good performance as Narasimha Naidu. K Vishwanath as Ragupathi Naidu has excelled. Simran and Preeti Jhingania also look good, though there is nothing much for them to perform, as it is totally hero-oriented movie. Music by Manisharma is good. The movie is watchable.
