Mujhe Kuch Kehna Hai - a review Producer : Vishnu Bhagnani ; Director : Satish Kaushik Music : Anu Malik; Lyrics : Sammer Main Cast : Tushar Kapur, Kareena Kapoor, Rinki Khanna, Amrish Puri. Fardheen - Feroz Khan, Abisekh - Amitabh Bacchan and now it is Tushar - Jitendra .......hmm...same old baap aur beta chakkar...baap ne bola acting kar...aur beta chala hero banne... Gone are the days, when acting was the primary criteria for anyone to get into cinema. Similar is the case with the latest movie Mujhe Kuch Kehna Hai...though Karan (Tushar) wanted to say something both to the Producers and Pooja (Kareena Kapoor) his expressions never allowed him to do so. The storyline is simple, Karan is a care for- nothing...cool guy...one fine Diwali day he happens to see Pooja, who is a US returned girl doing her research on Indian Culture. Karan gets mesmerised by her beauty and starts the google search...but inspite of his repeated attempts fails in the pursuit. And now...a sudden twist to the whole drama...Karan is sent to Shimla to pursue his studies and in the way happens to meet Pooja, who in turn was also searching for Kara. The treasured finding comes after Pooja sees Karan saving the life of a baby. But suddenly the vehicle goes out of control and Karan in the pursuit of saving the life of his sweet heart, loses grip and stumbles into the valley. Its all routine from here...Karan is in a big dilemma whether to propose to Pooja or not. Rinki Khanna (Priya) who plays the sister of Karan, encourages him, but ultimately Pooja secures admission in Harvard and is on the move...will Karan be able to express his love to Pooja...??? and will Pooja respond positively... ??? This is all about Mujhe Kuch Kehna Hai. Kareena looks gorgeous, but could have done better and Amrish Puri also has a chunky role (Karan's cacha). The music is scintillating. Anu Malik pairs up with seasoned Sameer, to come up with some brilliant compositions. Rabba mere rabba, Jabse dekha hai and the title song are really melodious. Overall, an average...so so movie...could be rated between 2.5 - 3 on a scale of 5. |
