 LOVE KE LIYE KUCH BHI KAREGA, A REVIEWCAST : Fardeen Khan, Aftab, Saif Ali Khan, Twinkle Khanna, Sonali Bendre, Johny Lever, Tanikella Bharani DIRECTION : E Niwas PRODUCER: Ram Gopal Verma MUSIC : Vishal The movie LKBK is a fresh and spunky movie filled with lively performances by the artists. Few will believe that the movie is the handiwork of an award winning director E.Niwas, one who has previously directed an action packed film like SHOOL. The movie opens with a narration of each of the characters where Prakash (Saif) is adressing the portrait in an art gallery which is senseless only because it is made by Sapna (Sonali Bendre), the only daughter of a rich industrialist. Prakash flirts with Sapna, and extends his relationship with Sapna, not only seeing her love but also keeping an eye on her property. Sapna’s father, who is dead against his marriage with Prakash reluctantly agrees to it after a lot of persuasion from Sapna. But Narayan (Sapna’s father) hears a grudge on Prakash and views him as a villain who has come to usurp his property. So, he constantly abuses him, ignores him and compares him with their pet dog. On the other front, there are two bachelers. Rahul (Fardeen) and Hari (Aftab) who are searching for a job since a year and have yet not succeeded. Their financial condition is such that they are unable to pay their house rent. Whenever they need money, they go and target the weak points of Aslam Bhai (Johney Lever) who makes money from Hafta Wasooli. Rahul, who is in have with Preethi (Twinkle) is the daughter of house owner Murthy (Tannekale). When Rahul asks for Preeti’s hand, Murthy simply gives him one month time to prove himself by getting a job. Out of desperation to get a job which can be achieved by paying a sum of 2 lakhs, Rahul and Hari plan to rob people and bring in to Prakash who is filled with anger and frustration towards his father in-law for rejecting his proposal of an independent project. To generate money and to prove himself, he hires Rahul and Hari and plan to kidnap his wife to demand a ransom from his father-in-law thinking that these two are professional criminals. How they kidnap and handle the situations and what twists are in store, what happens in the end is enjoyable only when watched. Twinkle is ravishing and Sonali is quite good as a lively and chubby girl. Aftab is refreshing to watch with his happy go lucky attitude after a serious role in a thriller like Kasoor. Fardeen Khan retains the subtle humour and leaves an impression even after leaving the theatre as he was never seen in this kind of role. Saif has represented the emotions of a frustrated person effectively. The music of the film is catchy and hummable and special role of Johney lever has to be watched out. All in all it is a cool movie where you can forget your worries and keep your smile throughout the three hours that you watch. |
