Family Circus A movie with a bunch of
comedians and Chitram fame Teja directing it, may give you lots of expectations about the
movie. Hold on! No high expectations please! Yes, the movie can be watched for some
humorous scenes in it but on the whole not a very interesting fare. A time pass! The movie
is like a platform, where you will get to see all the present-day comedians of Tollywood.The movie starts with Jagapathi Babu (Subramanyam) starting to office hurriedly. He is a simpleton, who works in an office where Giri Babu is the boss, a distant relative. He sees Roja (Durga) for the first time in a bus stop, while he is going to office with his friend Sudhakar, who also is a friend-cum- relative. He falls in love with her and before he expresses his love, he is asked by his granny (Rama Prabha) to come to the village for some urgent piece of work. He is unaware of the fact that he has been called for marriage looks. There he finds that the girl is none other than but Roja herself. He is extremely happy and they both get married.Jagapathi Babu and Roja start their life and with them are Subbu’s (Subramanyam) dead sister’s two sons. They start their family life and soon they have twin boys. And due to the mischief done by his sons and nephews, Jagapathi is forced to change houses. Ultimately they plan to buy a house in so called a decent locality, where live Kota (ex Lans Naik), Dharmavarapu Subramanyam and many others. Due to their budget limitations, they give their top floor on rent. The real trouble starts, when the tenants: Rajendra Prasad (Pattaudi) and his wild family land up. The Pattaudi ‘s family comprises of his wife Kantamma (Jhansi), her sister and two notorious kids. As soon as this wild family comes into the picture, the real trouble starts for Jagapathi Babu and co. Pattaudi’s son is an unbearable chap, who is perfect at stealing anything. Once he even steals the steering of Subbu’s car and the explanation and solution, which Rajendra Prasad makes us burst into laughter. Pattaudi’s daughter is a queer thing, who eats whatever she finds, including Fevicol etc. The real troublemaker is Jhansi’s sister, who falls in love with Subbu. She creates problems for Subbu and how he manages to get out of these problems is the story.The movie is only a collection of comic scenes involving different comedians. The movie tends to become serious only in the last 15 minutes. Some scenes are extremely hilarious. For instance, Jagapathi Babu struggling to have a first night (shobanam). And the scenes where you get to see Dharmavarapu Subramanyam and MS Narayana also tickle you. But there are scenes, which are irritating too. For instance, Subbu and Pattaudi going to Blue Moon hotel where the latter gets drunk and the hangaama he creates is something that irritates you a lot and does not make you laugh at all. The movie’s background score is good and two songs are extremely melodious. Jagapathi Babu has done very well and all the others also have put their best. Rajendra Prasad’s age is showing but nevertheless, his acting compensates for his looks. Well! You can give it a watch but don’t forget to take the kids along with you, as there is every chance that kids may enjoy it! |
