| Baava
Nachadu It does not matter if you have a routine story
line, but if you can present it well, it works. That is what the movie Baava Nachadu
precisely is! The movie may not have an offbeat storyline but the impressive presentation
makes it worth watching. It may not be as good as the other works of KS Ravi Kumar like
Bhaamane Satya Bhaamane, but still he did make a good movie, we can say.
The movie is a story of a filmmaker cum model, who marries a village belle Simran. Reema
Sen is her sister, who dreams to lead a city life. She has a Baava in village, who wants
to marry her, but she is not interested. Once she poses as a model to her brother-in -law
(Nagarjuna) and after that his presence starts tickling her and she falls in love with
him. She tells Simran about her love for Nagrajuna and expresses a wish to marry him.
Simran, obviously, gets angry and scolds her sis.
So, Reema tries to commit suicide. As Simran doesn't want to loose her little sister, she
says okay to Reema's wish. But Nagarjuna is not interested in Reema, for he loves his wife
dearly. But then how does he escape from Reema Sen? Wanna know? Then just go and watch the
movie for yourself.
All the actors including Nagarjuna have done their part well. But Nagarjuna's age is
definitely showing on his face. Especially, when you see him in close up shots, you get to
see his wrinkles.
Keeravani's music is indubitably, a highlight of the movie. But it's irritating that there
is not much gap in the songs. Censor objected to some words in two songs, so they were
changed. The words Sexy sexy in the song Savirahe were replaced by very nice and in Akka
baava nachchada song, the phrase Anta tadivi choosada by Anta sogasu.
Another highlight of the movie is its photography. Shyam.K.Naidu has effectively captured
the beautiful locations of New Zealand in his camera. K.S. Ravi Kumar's direction is okay.
