Avgat, a
preview  We've seen many models getting into the filmdom with
their glamour magic. But rarely have we seen anyone, who can really act.……not
just swing their arms.After a much-hyped debut in Govind Nihalani's Thakshak over a year ago, Nethra Raghuraman did match up to the expectations in Mahesh Mathai's Bhopal Express. But, off late she seems to have disappeared into the doom. Until you find her part of a small film called Avgat co-starring with Ajinkya Dev. Avgat is another story of the underworld mafia. The audience probably are used to these kind of movies now.….from Ardh Sathya to Sathya. It is the same old, never ending saga. Netra does show some promise in the film, though it was that two - bit role. One wonders whether she will be left to that stature only, hopefully not !!! After the bombing of Takshak and Bhopal Express, the success of Avgat is very crucial for her survival in the industry. This film is produced by Sunil Thakur and directed by Mohan Sharma and is slated for release this week. |
